Spending this summer on a self-study and research project in dynamical dark energy, working up from gauge theory, Lie groups, and Hilbert spaces to get the prerequisites solid first.

Research experience

GRB-GW cosmology

A month-long research stay working on gamma-ray bursts cosmology. I used FERMI long GRB data to infer cosmological parameters using LambdaCDM and chi-squared statistics. Later I used GW event simulations from Colombo et al. 2025 to study how multi-messenger affects parameters inference.

SNIa photometry

A summer research stay using SOFI (ESO), ZTF and ATLAS Type Ia supernova photometry to measure cosmological distances and ultimately, fit cosmological parameters.

Thermal imaging, Landsat-8

A two-week internship on hyperspectral miaging and analyzing Landsat-8 thermal data.

The Cepheid distance ladder

Recomputed the Hubble constant using Cepheid variable stars as standard candles obtaining a value of approximately 71 km/s/Mpc.
